Serene SceneryI’m always a little torn at this time of year! New products vs retiring products – eek!

But new is always good, right?  And we’re days away from the launch of the fabulous new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue (June 1st!)  It’s jam packed full of amazing new products plus we get to keep some of our favourites like the beautiful Detailed Dragonfly thinlits.  But we also have to wave goodbye to others and the stunning Falling In Love DSP is one of those…sob!  However, I thought I’d make a couple more projects with it before it retires.  Here’s how I made the card…

Cut an 8¼” x 5½” cardbase in Very Vanilla.  This is a slightly unusual size but there’s method in my madness!  The next post will be a coordinating box and you can get both out of 1 sheet of A4 cardstock so hold on to the other piece!  You will need 3 Basic Black panels measuring 1½” x 3 5/8″ and 3 Falling In Love DSP panels, 1¼” x 3 3/8″.  Layer on top of each other and space equally on your cardbase.  Cut the dragonfly from Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits in Basic Black cardstock, along with a 1″ square.  Adhere the dragonfly with a couple of glue dots.  Stamp ‘For You’ from Circle Of Spring Stamp Set onto a ¾” square of Very Vanilla Cardstock in Sahara Sand.  Layer onto the black square with a dimensional and offset on the card, winding some Gold Metallic Thread underneath.  xx
