The data controller in respect of our website and services is Tracy McDonnell of The Papercraft Studio.  For details on how to contact the data controller, please see our contact page.  For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), the data controller is Tracy McDonnell, owner of The Papercraft Studio.

Your Data

Here at The Papercraft Studio, I take your privacy extremely seriously and will only use your personal information the following reasons:

  1. Assisting you with orders for Stampin’ Up! products & bookings for events.
  2. Legal purposes, as I’m obliged to provide evidence of income for tax purposes.
  3. To keep you informed of new Stampin’ Up! or The Papercraft Studio products, projects, tutorials, classes and events.

Your personal information will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

1. Information collected via Stampin’ Up!

Ordering Stampin’ Up! products online: When you place an order for Stampin; Up! products via my Online Shop, Stampin’ Up! will request your name, email, postal and billing addresses, phone number and payment details.  This data is stored by Stampin’ Up! in the USA.  Stampin’ Up! also pass your name, postal address and phone number onto UPS, our shopping courier, for the purposes of delivering your order.  UPS use the data to print labels and for routing the packages within their systems.

Stampin’ Up! make all details (with the exception of payment information) available to me as your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  This allows me to see your order, assist with returns or refunds, and provide support to you.  I add your email address to my mail service to enable me to send you customer service emails and any other information I believe is relevant to you.

Stampin’ Up! and I keep your order records for 6 years to comply with legal requirements.

2. Information collected by me

Information you give: You may give me information via forms on my site at www.thepapercraftstudio.co.uk or by corresponding with me by email, phone or otherwise.  The information you give me may include your name, address, email address, phone number, financial and credit card information, personal description and photograph.

The name and email addres are stored in my Mail Service provider (Mailchimp) The data is housed in the US and Mailchimp participate and have certified its compliance with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework.  I use the data to provide you with any of the following information:

  • Information regarding classes & events
  • Marketing information about upcoming special offers and promotions from Stampin’ Up! and product review
  • Craft tutorials & inspiration and general crafting tips and hints

Every email has an unsubscribe link, giving you the opportunity to unsubscribe from all emails from me.  I do also send out occasional emails giving you an option to update your preferences to allow for the emails to be best suited to your interests.

Information we collect about you: With regard to each of your visits to the website, we may automatically collect the following information:

  • technical data including the Internet protocol (IP) address, login data, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform.  This data is gathered anonymously, and cannot be used to identify individual users.
  • usage data about how you us the website.

I use this technical data to administer the site and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes.  It also assists in my efforts to keep the site safe and secure.  I may use it to measure or understand the effectiveness of advertising I serve to you and others, and to deliver relevant advertising to you.

  • Stampin’ Up! for the performance of any contract we enter into with you to provide Stampin’ Up! products.

5. Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”).  By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing.  We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you.  Your tight of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act.  Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
