I’m SO happy to announce that my rebranding to The Papercraft Studio has finally taken place. Whilst I was very fond of Love From The Fairies, it was causing lots of confusion…did I make fairy doors?, is it for children? etc. No, I teach papercraft to adults and sell Stampin’ Up! craft supplies. I wanted my brand to reflect a very clear indication of what my business is about and so The Papercraft Studio was born!
I think it’s fair to say that whilst most of us demonstrators are completed addicted to Stampin’ Up!, there are some products that just don’t do it for us. I have to say, the Eastern Palace Suite was one of these. Although I loved the colours individually, collectively it’s too dark for my style so it didn’t make my wish list. But I did love the sentiments and thought if I was going to buy the stamp set, it made sense to buy the bundle (saving 10%!). I’m so pleased I did! I put my own twist on it and I love the results! Here’s how I made this card which I’m sending out to everyone who ordered with me in June…
Using the Whisper White Note cards, stamp the outer ring in Blushing Bride, slightly higher than the middle of the card. Open out the note card, centre the biggest Eastern Medallions Thinlit over the stamped image and run through the Big Shot. Stamp ‘Enjoy Today’ in Blushing Bride onto Whisper White Cardstock and punch out with the 1 ¼” Circle punch. Punch a Gold Foil Sheet circle using the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch and layer the sentiment onto this using a dimensional. Add both layers to the card also using dimensionals (tip…if layering with more than 1 demensional, you will need a large letter stamp if posting). I finished the card with the cute star Washi Tape from the new Basics Pack 1. xx
Two of my absolute favourite products in the new catalogue…Fresh Florals DSP and Seasonal Layers Thinlits.
And even better than that, you can buy the Colorful Seasons stamp set and Seasonal Layers Thinlits as a bundle saving you 10%! I would definitely recommend this as both are gorgeous…you get a whopping 17 dies and 24 photopolymer stamps so it’s great value for money.
When I designed this box, I wanted something elegant but a good size too. The finished box measures 4½”x 2″x 2″…perfect for candles, chocolates, perfume etc. Here’s how I made it…
Cut a 8½”x 8¼ piece of Whisper White Cardstock and score on the shorter side at 2″, 4″, 6″ & 8″.
Turn and score along the longer side at 1½”, 6″ & 8″. Fold and score all of the scorelines then cut as in the 1st photo. I cut ‘flowerpot’ shapes into the base instead of just cutting straight up the scorelines for a neater finish (see 1st photo – small triangles around the scorelines) Add tear and tape as shown in the 2nd photo below, fold the main part of the box to seal as shown in photo 3. Fold in the flaps to form the base of the box, ensuring the tab with tear and tape on is last (note to self…start doing videos!)
To decorate the box, cut 3 pieces of Berry Burst Cardstock measuring 4″x 1½” and adhere to the sides and back of the box. Add a 3¾”x 1¼ piece of Fancy Florals DSP in Berry Burst layer on top. Using the Seasonal Layer Thinlits, cut the branch in Early Espresso Cardstock and 4 flowers in Berry Burst – I used 3 different flower thinlits from the set and the Multi Purpose Adhesive Sheets. Add to the front of the box (you’ll need to pop the branch at an angle).
Finally, Cut a 1¾”x 1¾” square of Berry Burst Cardstock and attach to the lid using dimensionals in each corner. Add a 1½”x 1½” square of the Fancy Florals DSP in Berry Burst. Punch a hole in the centre of the lid using 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch. Fold an 8″ length of Berry Burst Finely Woven Ribbon in half and holding the ends together, cut at a sharp angle to help when feeding through the top of the box. Once through, leaving a small loop on top of the lid, tie underneath in a single knot. As always, if you’d like to buy any of the products used in this project, click on the product below and it’ll take you straight to my online shop xx
I love the simplicity of this card and it’s a great way to showcase our fab new 2017-19 In Colors. Here’s how I made it…
Cut a piece of A4 Thick Whisper White Cardstock in half to make the card base. Cut 1″ x 3 7/8″ strips of each In Color and adhere evenly spaced to the card (just eyeball this!) Cut the Happy Birthday Thinlits in Black and White using the new Multi Purpose Adhesive Sheets. This will make it so easy to layer the white, slightly offset, onto the black to make the sentiment pop. Attach to the card and hey presto! Your quick and easy card. xx

Combine it with my favourite Stampin’ Up! colour, Elegant Eggplant and this card was always going to be a big hit with me! Here’s how I made it…
Stamp the image towards the left a piece of 2¾” x 2¾” Whisper White Cardstock in Black Archival Ink. Stamp the dress shading in Smokey Slate (you don’t have to be exact here!) and the sentiment in Elegant Eggplant. Punch hearts in Elegant Eggplant using the Confetti Hearts Border Punch and add using the Fine Tip Glue Pen. Layer a 1¾” x 4½” piece of Elegant Eggplant Cardstock onto a Notecard leaving a ¼” border, then add the stamped layer using dimensionals. xx
