Who doesn’t love a handmade Mother’s Day Card?
This one uses the beautiful Window Flower Box Dies from the mini catalogue. I’d seen quite a few designs with this set using our Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder but I wanted mine to have a more Mediterranean look to it. You’ll have seen by my last few projects that I love the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and it gave a perfect Stucco effect on Basic White Cardstock!
Mother’s Day is in March in the UK and is in fact this Sunday. I’m pretty sure it’s in May in other parts of the world so you could get ahead and make this up in advance. Job done!
This is one of my Class By Post project kits this month and my sister Deanna is now an absolute Stampin’ Up! addict! I know she’s going to be giving our Mum this Mother’s Day card so I need to design another one for me!
Of course this doesn’t just have to be a Mother’s Day card. It would be perfect for birthdays too. There’s a pretty stamp set, Welcoming Window, which coordinates with the Window Flower Box Dies and can be bought together saving you 10%.
Fancy making it? Here are the supplies I used
I’ve used Seaside Spray for my card base. This is one of the 2019-2020 In Colors which will be retiring in May. It’s actually my favourite out of the five colours and I think that’s the case for many of us so stock up soon before it sells out!
The flowers and vine are from the Well Written Dies. I usually only think of this set if I want wording but it includes a bird, butterfly, flower stems and these cute flowers too so it’s a great set to have in your stash. I wanted the card to be really bright and cheery so I used Magenta Madness, Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody for the flowers and Granny Apple Green for the stem and vine. The shutters, window ledge and plant pot are cut in Sahara Sand, finished off with Basic Gray hinges.
Here’s to celebrating all our amazing Mum’s this Sunday!
Here’s how I made the card…
