Ooh! I’m just too excited! It’s my favourite time of year in my Stampin’ Up world!
I’m off to Brussels today for Stampin’ Up!’s On Stage Live! (previously known as Convention) – hundreds of demonstrators from around the world will be hitting Brussels over the next few days to see new Stampin’ Up! product (eek!), receive fantastic training and catch up with friends (and hopefully meet some new ones!) Many of us make swaps – a 3D project or card to swap with other demos to get inspiration and pass on our own ideas. I love making 3D projects so I made these cute gift bags using the Merry Moments DSP Stack and finished them off with the gorgeous Stitched Satin Ribbon in Basic Black and Whisper White.

Here’s how I made them…
Merry Moments DSP 6″x4 1/2″. With the short side along the top, score at 1″, 2″, 3″ & 4″. Turn and with the long side at the top, score at 1″. That’s it – scoring done! Fold on all of the scorelines and cut up vertical ones to form the flaps of the base. Completely remove the skinny rectangle in the bottom corner. With the wrong side facing upwards, fold in the thinner edge and put Tear & Tape along the edge, close to the crease. The other edge of the bag to meet this. Fold in the 2 side flaps of the base, then the back. Put Tear & Tape on the final flap and seal the base. Gently squeeze the top of the bag together and run your finger lightly down each side to form the bag shape. Punch a hole in the centre at the top using the 1/8″ Circle Punch. Thread through approx 10cm of ribbon, hold the ends together and tie a bow around the base using Silver Cording Trim. I like to leave the trailing ends quite long. Stamp ‘Tis The Season’ from Peaceful Pines Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler, punch with the 1″ Square Punch and sponge the edges. Attach at an angle to a 1″ square of Black Glimmer Paper using dimensionals (tip – put a glue dot on top of the dimensional when sticking cardstock to Glimmer Paper for a firmer hold). Use another dimensional to stick the sentiment to the bag. Fill with chocolate balls for a perfect for a dinner table treat! Why not join my team and come with me next year?! Tracy x
