Q. Can I join as a demonstrator just to get the discount for myself?
Of course! You can be your best customer and enjoy the 20% discount and additional benefits all demonstrators receive (this is how I started!) You can also see if your friends and family want to place orders through you too.
Q. What do I get in my Starter Kit and how much does it cost to join?
For £99 (129€) you choose £130 (175€) worth of Stampin’ Up! products – your starter kit is totally customisable and you can choose anything from the current range. You’ll also be sent a business pack worth £45 (60€) to get you started.
Q. I’m not local to you, can I still join your team?
Absolutely. You can join my team wherever you live in the UK, The Netherlands, France, Germany and Austria. You will receive my full support and training thanks to technology!
Q. I’m thinking about teaching classes in the future but just want to buy for myself for now. Is it easy to make that transition at a later date?
Absolutely! We are all called demonstrators whether we join to get discounts for our hobby, make projects for friends and family or if we want to build a business. You’re in control and I’m here to give you my full support whichever route you choose.
Q. What discounts do demonstrators receive?
You keep 20% of each order placed (including your own!) – this is called Instant Income and you can earn additional money through volume rebates when your monthly sales are £200 and above. If you build a team, you can also earn monthly downline overrides as well.
Q. What is the quarterly sales minimum?
To remain an active demonstrator, you just need to meet a minimum of £225 net sales (£270 catalogue price) in 3 months. The quarters are Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sept & Oct-Dec. When you first join, Stampin’ Up! give you the remainder of the quarter you join in, plus the entire next quarter to give you time to settle in eg. if you join in August, you have until end of December to meet you minimums. At the end of the quarter, you have another month’s grace (pending) to make up the difference and stay active.
Q. I’m not sure I can meet the minimums. Where can I get ideas to help me?
As your upline, I’m here to help you and that includes sharing ways to meet your minimums. Your own purchases count towards your minimums as well as orders from friends, family and customers. You’ll find other demonstrators are a great source of inspiration too.
Q. Is there any training available?
Absolutely! I will provide you with all the support, help and training you need. And because not everyone wants the same level of support, all of the training is an optional extra. I run bi-monthly team training which is a great time to catch up with other demos and make some projects plus you are always welcome to come along to my classes and workshops. Stampin’ Up! offer the opportunity to attend their training events, On Stage Local and their annual On Stage Live.

Q. Do Stampin’ Up! offer any other incentives?
You can be your own hostess and earn money to spend in the catalogue and buy exclusive hostess sets. From time to time, Stampin’ Up! offer some great opportunities to earn free products.
Q. What if I decide I no longer want to be a demonstrator.
That’s fine – you just do nothing and keep everything you’ve bought to date. At the end of the current quarter, you would go into pending if you haven’t met your minimums, then you would become ‘inactive’ the following month. There’s never any pressure to stay although of course I’d love you to stay in my team!
Q. If I leave can I rejoin in the future?
Yes, you can drop and join immediately again with the same upline or after 90 days with a different upline.
Q. Do I have to recruit other demonstrators
Not at all – there’s never any pressure to do anything you don’t want to. Having a downline is not a requirement but it is a great perk – it gives us the opportunity to earn a commission based on our downline’s sales. It’s also a responsibility as you will need to support your team and provide them with training to help them achieve their goals.
Q. Do I need to hold stocks of products.
No, customers order through you either directly or online and pay you at point of ordering. There’s no financial risk for you as you only order once you’ve received an order from your customer or whenever you want to place your own order.
