How beautiful is this Fancy Fold Hydrangea Hill Card?

I had an idea of how I wanted this card to turn out in my head but it evolved as I went on!  Originally I was going to have a straight edge for the opening but as I was putting it together, I realised one of the Curvy Dies would follow the curve of the stem perfectly!  And Hey Presto!  This is how the card was born.

Hydrangea Hill is a stunning suite in our current mini catalogue.  I’m quite a purple girl as you’ll see from my nails in all of my videos so this suite jumped out at me immediately!

This is one of my Class By Post projects for March and as always, I like to create something which involves more than just basic cutting and sticking for my ladies.

I love making fancy fold cards and thought the Hydrangeas in Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and the soon retiring Purple Posy made a stunning statement.  Hydrangea Haven can be bought as a bundle with a beautiful stamp set but on this occasion, I only used the dies.  The little individual flowers really make this card pop and the fact you can cut 9 in one go was such a bonus!  I added Pastel Pearls to finish.

I found a way to ensure the curve of the Designer Series Paper followed the curve of the card base.  Here’s how I made it…
