The last time I designed a Faux Centre Step Card I was presenting On Stage for Stampin’ Up! in Vienna. I think that’s 3 or 4 years ago now!
Then it was a Valentine’s set and I used cute dsp with bicycles and a heart floating like a ballon from the basket.
This time, I wanted to showcase the gorgeous Coneflower Celebration Bundle and was so happy how it turned out. How striking is the flower on this card?
I wanted to keep the focus on the Coneflower so I went for quite a muted background.
For the centre step, I kept things simple with the gorgeous Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder.
I gave my class ladies the choice of Strawberry Slush or Cloud Cover DSP from the 2025-27 In Colors DSP Pack. To tie everything in, I used Strawberry Slush Two-tone Cardstock for the coneflower. The ladies chose if they wanted to stamp on the light or dark side. The centre step background was in Cloud Cover Cardstock. We stamped ‘It’s your day’ inside the petals from Conflower Celebration Stamps.
We stamped the leaves in Garden Green ink and used a Blender Pen to pull some of the colour over the stamped image. And you know no card is complete without bling! So a scattering of Strawberry Slush & Pretty In Pink Gems did the job perfectly.
