Love, love, love this stamp set! Here are just a couple of home decor ideas I came up with for my presentation.
My favourite Stampin’ Up! colour has to be Elegant Eggplant so I wanted to make sure it featured in my presentation. I’m also know for my ‘offset’ (wonky!) cards – I find them much more forgiving than straight layers but I know some people just can’t bring themselves to do theirs the same so let me assure you, these look stunning layered neatly too!
To get the image onto the candle, I stamped the image and sentiment in Black Archival Ink onto white tissue paper. With the ink pad closed, I gave it a firmish squeeze to make a little pool of ink on the inside lid then picked up the ink using Aqua Painters and added colour to the image. Again, I coloured outside of the lines. I then cut around them fairly closely but this doesn’t have to be exact like fussy cutting, it’s just to minimise the excess tissue paper. I placed it (right side up) onto the candle, then wrapped a piece of wax paper (greaseproof works) over the top and held it taught at the back. Using the Heat Tool, I ‘melted’ the image onto the candle, being careful not to let the candle start to bubble. Just enough to transfer the image. Once I’d peeled of the wax paper, the image appeared beautifully. I wanted to tie it in with the framed prints so I added a 12″ x 1.75″ piece of Silver Glimmer Paper around the base with Tear & Tape. Using a piece of 12″ x 1.25″ Elegant Eggplant Cardstock, I punched all the way along with the Confetti Stars Border Punch and layered over the Glimmer Paper, securing again with Tear & Tape. You could use A4 Elegant Eggplant and make a little join at the back. The frame and plate were so sparkly in real life and really showed off the set beautifully. xx
