It’s fair to say that when they were dishing out Mum’s, I must have been at the top of the list as mine is truly amazing!
I wanted to make her an extra special card for her 70th birthday last Sunday and I’d seen a few of these amazing Twist & Pop Up cards in the last couple of months so decided to design my own. I followed a tutorial from a very talented lady called Cathy Williams and then put my own spin on it with the decoration.

I adore Pop Of Pink DSP and thought it would be perfect for a celebration card. I layered the front with Basic Black & Melon Mambo Cardstock, cut the heart from Sunshine Wishes Thinlins in Gold Foil Sheets and embossed the sentiment from Tin Of Cards in gold, finishing off with Gold Metallic Thread and Metallic Sequins. And now for the Wow! With some clever folding and sticking (less complicated than you may think) the centre pops up! I cut the letters and numbers from Large Letters and Large Numbers Framelits and slightly offset Melon Mambo over Basic Black to really make them pop. I added more Pop Of Pink DSP and layered Basic Black and Melon Mambo hearts to finish. Mum was so happy with her card – a real keepsake for her special day. xx
