Oh my word! How quickly is Mother’s Day creeping up on us?!
I’ve been designing cards for my local post office in Hursley and this design uses the gorgeous Grateful Bunch Stamp Set and Sale-a-Bration (SAB) Perfectly Artistic DSP. Sadly that’s no longer available as a SAB product but you could get the same effect with sponging or watercolouring with Melon Mambo ink.
Here’s how I made it…
Make a card base by cutting a sheet of Basic Black A4 Cardstock in half lengthwise. Cut a piece of Perfectly Artistic DSP if you have it or sponge/Watercolour onto a piece of cardstock measuring 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″. Randomly stamp the single flower from Grateful Bunch Stamp Set in Black Archival Ink. Cut a length of Basic Black Stitched Satin Ribbon and secure the ends just around the back of the stamped cardstock/DSP on each side with a glue dot then adhere to the cardbase. Stamp the sentiment from A Nice Cuppa stamp set in Archival Black Ink onto Whisper White cardstock (or choose a sentiment from Grateful bunch). Punch out using the 1 ¾” Circle punch and sponge the edges with Melon Mambo Ink. Layer onto a Basic Black 2″ circle (punched with the 2″ Circle Punch) with dimensionals and attach the the card. Punch the butterflies in Basic Black using the Bitty Butterfly and Elegant Butterfly punches. Add an It’s My Party Enamel Dot to each and attach to the card with glue dots. Finally, add a trio of Enamel Dots to the ribbon. Did you know, the Grateful Bunch Stamp Set and the Blossom Bunch Punch is available at a bundle (140801) saving you 15%! I’m using them quite a bit in upcoming projects. Tracy x
