Oh So Ombre Desk Calendar

How cute would this Oh So Ombre Desk Calendar look on your desk?

With most of us currently working from home and the days rolling into one as we’re in lockdown again, I thought this Twisted Easel Desk Calendar would be a perfect project!  There’s a handy drawer to keep Post It Notes, paperclips, staples or whatever you need to keep to hand.  Maybe a secret stash of your favourite chocolates!

Oval Occasions is a new Stamp Set which is available on it’s own or with a coordinating punch.  And we all love a punch!  It’s such a versatile set with a mix of sentiments and images which of course fit the punch but the punch itself will match so many other stamp sets.  The punch features 2 ovals – one regular and one larger scalloped, designed to layer.  I used the new Blending Brushes (page 70 in the Spring/Summer Catalogue) to create the ombre effect on the sentiment and butterfly from the Butterfly Duet Punch.  All finished off with a couple of Rhinestones to add a little sparkle!

Here’s how I made the Desk Calendar

Supplies

• Bermuda Bay Cardstock – Wrap – 4¼” x 9 1/8″  Score on the long side at 3¼”, 4 5/16″, 7 9/16″ & 8 5/8″  Score on the short side at 1″
• Bermuda Bay Cardstock – Drawer – 5¼” x 6 1/8″  Score on short side at 1″ on each side.  Score on the long side at 1″, turn and score at 4¼” then 5¼” (watch the video to see how I did this)
• Bermuda Bay Cardstock – Card – 6½” x 3¼”  Score on the long side at 3¼” then a diagonal score from the bottom center scoreline to the top corner (see video)
• Bermuda Bay Cardstock – Card Layer – 3¼” x 3¼”
• 2 x Coordinating DSP Layers – 3″ x 3″
• Bermuda Bay Cardstock – Layer for Calendar – 3″ x 2″ (depending on your Calendar Tab size)
• Scraps of Basic White Cardstock
